Can you make the material you have on the ABC easily available here as a topic? It is not in your ABC & media section so far as I can tell.

I came across an interesting epithet for 'non-reporter journalists' who traffic their opinions and biases as news, or appended to so-called news reports. First: Remember they are 'non-reporter journalists'. Second: they are 'enlisted fighter journalists' with a pre-decided Agenda. Look at Ed O'Lockedin. He usually manages to insert words to the effect, "It's the Occupation" and the "Settlements are [all] illegal and contrary to Interenational Law" - note always with I and L as capitals. THESE MAY BE THE GUYS WHO WERE PROTESTERS ABOUT NUCLEAR DEVELOPMENT AND VIET NAM AND USA GENERALLY SINCE 1960. HOW TO LIMIT THE USA IN THE USE OF ITS UNDOUBTED POWER. I think he should be invited to debate his assertion, so that we can dismiss his propositions, according to articles like the one at: http://www.think-israel.org/meir-levi.settlemen.html , which you might like to publish for all of us anyway. The most frightening weapon being levelled by the ROP is the attept to restrict our freedom of speech. Could you please cover the Victorian Racial and Religious Tolerance Act, the resulting Catch the Fire Ministries case, and the ongoing crisis in Denmark following the Jyllands_Posten cartoons of Mohammad, and reactions from bodies such as the UN and EU which seem sympathetic to ROP sensitivities, and not freedom of speech.

What about the inspirational article of the week;it could be an example of good journalism (for a change); a perspective that makes us all think; good news that counters fashionable propoganda,etc.

Dear ICJS, I just saw your ABC material, and it's good. One sees the terorism=militant=activist routine all too often. This makes us insensitive to acts of terror and the underlying ideologies of the terrorists. I teach political communication at the Rothberg School of Hebrew University, and my doctorate dealt with Palestinian media and politics.
